Rules of Procedure in EPUB format

In a long line of delivering features that we have not announced, we have another gem for you.
The latest edition of our Rules of Procedure has been ported to the EPUB ebook format. This format is supported by most ebook readers, the Apple iPad and iPod (via iBooks), and the Android and WebOS Platform ( e.g. via Aldiko Reader)
DuEMUN on the Fast Lane

On our Youtube Channel you will find a very brief video, recorded live on the A40. Our table attracted quite a few observers and we were able to meet some interesting people.
We would have loved to have had more simulation there but sadly the ever hovering helicopters did not permit talking all that well. Be sure to check back as we will upload more pictures from the event.
Next Exit: DuEMUN!

DuEMUN will be present at the Still-Leben Ruhrschnellweg on 18. July 2010. The event will close the entire Autobahn 40, one of the busiest motorways in Germany, from Duisburg to Dortmund for one day. Various associations, clubs and ordinary people will each present a piece of culture on assigned tables. As you may have guessed, DuEMUN will perform a Model UN Simulation.

For all those, wishing to join our association after this year’s DuEMUN, here is a little primer on how to participate in DuEMUN e.V. activities.
- Join the Mailing list
- Think about how you would want to improve DuEMUN
- Show up at Association meetings (always posted on the list) and let your voice be heard.
If you want to have a more formal role, all of our formal positions will be open for election. In addition, we are always open to creating entirely new positions. A lot of our senior staff will be graduating soon, so there is a lot of room for fresh minds with fresh ideas.
DuEMUN is very democratic. This means that anyone can contribute and make a significant impact on the conference or the association. You could easily suggest improvements today that will already be implemented in June 2011!

The DuEMUN Forums have been closed due to a lack of demand and in an effort to lessen the amount of platforms providing information to participants.
Because questions still need answering, we have created DuEMUN Q&A.
This plattform will allow you to ask quick questions about DuEMUN, the Rules of Procedure or MUN in general.
We will integrate relevant questions into the Preparation Resources site that will be the center for all DuEMUN related information and documents in the future.

Using Etherpad for MUN Working Papers

After introducing MUNS, the Open Source Speakers List manager, DuEMUN has continued to pioneer the use of software to enhance the Model UN experience.
At this year’s DuEMUN VI we have successfully piloted a paperless Working Paper System based on Etherpad.
Etherpad is a free, open source collaborative writing platform that allows users to change and perceive changes to documents in real time. More >
