Busy Day in NYC

This must have been the busiest day we had the whole week. We went to the German House and met the representative of the ConRuhr program that represents Ruhr-Region Universities in the US. He was very informative. We later had the chance to meet a lawyer, Katherin Margetts that had worked on the Tribunal involved in the Yugoslavian case. She was very helpful in explaining how the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Criminal Justice (ICJ) work.

In the afternoon we had three interviews: one with Mr. Kyo Naka from Philippines at the UNDP offices who gave us a brief summary of China and explained a few perspectives we had earlier found complex to understand; after a sumptuos lunch at the UNDP cafeteria, we met representatives from the Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force (CTITF) ;and finally with Mr. Adam Segal of the Council on Foreign Relations.

It was a very busy day, considering we had to walk over 25blocks between the UNDP offices and the CFR. It was definitely worth the run especially when we that ran got there earlier than those that took the subway.
