There couldn't have been a better timing of the DuEMUN event representing Ghana this year! Indeed, 2012 is a crucial year for Ghana as we prepare for presidential and parliamentary elections in December, which promises to be extremely competitive and which could make or break the country's democratic standing in the sub-region. The extraordinary high growth rate recorded by the country in 2011, coupled with the start of oil production would soon see Ghana re-take its position on the international stage which it occupied in the post-independence period, especially in championing the fight for independence on the continent. No doubt, this DuEMUN session will be useful in simulating the position of Ghana on key regional and global issues within the world body. I just can't wait to be part of this wonderful event!!

Thank you for your interest in DuEMUN. As long as you are younger than 30 years of age, have graduated no later than may 2011 and if you can get visa for the Schengen area by yourself, you are free to apply.

We have however made the experience that individual participants travelling from Afghanistan have not been granted visa as there is a significant (and understandable) chance of them not returning home.

You only require MUN experience to join a group of delegates sent by us to a foreign MUN such as NMUN, HNMUN or WorldMUN.

Those delegation are closed at the moment and are not recommended for delegates from other countries since you cannot participate in the preparation process and it is not quite sure if you can guarantee to get a US visa.

You can expect the meeting to last somewhere between 90 minutes to two and a half hours. So you can comfortably arrive later and still make it in time for the election.
